Meet God in Prayer. Seek His Presence. Encounter His Power.

Chatting with God

No need to worry!

What are you allowing to disturb your peace? Did you know prayer is the antidote for worry?

When we are stressing we are in conflict with God. We are mentally saying God I disagree with the truth that you have the power to handle this situation.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Let go of your concerns! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth” (GW).

If we don't let go we cant see the fulness of God's sovereignty in our lives on earth.

I know at most times when things seem to be chaotic, when the pressures of life seem to be weighing you down, when you've made some bad decisions, or you find yourself at the end of no return you feel there's nothing left to do but worry.

Worry was my first response until I found the cure which is prayer. Worrying robs you of living a joyful life. Prayer guards you from allowing worrying to steal your joy. Our carnal self instantly respond by worrying but we can overcome the spirit of worrying through prayer, rejoicing, thanksgiving, praising, and worship the Almighty God.

When our faith is anchored in God as impossible the situation may appear we trust and believe that He is still in control.

As cliche as it sounds we can't worry about it; we have to pray about it. (Read Philippians 4:6) Prayer counteracts worrying, anxiety, fear, stress. Prayer bring upon the power of God to defeat the things that's trying to battle you. Prayer brings peace where there is frustration, prayer brings hope where there is despair, prayer brings joy where there is sorrow, prayers bring praise where there is complaints, prayer delight where there is scorn. Prayer has the power to transform our hearts and mind to be in alignment with our faith in Jesus Christ.

I know one of my biggest problems was I wanted to be in control. We often like to have the final say, we want to make our own rules, or do things our own way. We fail to realize when we carry this type of attitude we are getting in the way of God moving in our lives and we add on unwanted stress. Now don't get me wrong I believe there are some things we have been given the influence to do and those things should be done wholeheartedly but the things that are out of our control we have to learn to let go and let God. We have to learn to cast our cares on the Lord so we won't allow nothing to disrupt our worship or our purpose to glorify Him in all things. We have to determine that we will live in submission to God's rule.

Matthew 6:27 says, "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"

Why worry about what God already knows, have already decided the outcome of, and already has complete control over. Remember He is an OMNIPOTENT GOD!  Understand our conditions in life are not permanent. God has the power to change things around for us.

Romans 8:28 is a testament to this, it says, "And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose."(AMP)

In the midst of whatever you may be worried about, I pray you will allow God to navigate you through, that you may be directed to a place of hope and peace in Christ Jesus. Don't doubt God's ability to handle your circumstances.  He HAS IT UNDER CONTROL!
